Child sponsorship is something I’m really passionate about. Children around the world have incredible potential to accomplish amazing things if they are given the opportunity. I do not have children of my own, but I know that someday when I do have children, I will want to do all I can to provide for their needs and support them in following their dreams.

For so many parents in developing countries, simply providing basic resources for their children is a daily struggle. By choosing to sponsor a child, we can provide a boy or girl with resources necessary for survival as well as the opportunity receive an education, which will empower them to follow their dreams and no longer be bound by the cycle of poverty so many of them are born into.

Specifically in India, child sponsorship is making an eternal difference. Check out this child sponsorship blog from World Help’s Summer Reading series.

How Can Child Sponsorship Impact India?

While child sponsorship is meeting the needs of millions of children in India, the necessity for clean water is also crucial. Without addressing the issues of contaminated water, children and adults alike will continue to suffer from water-related illnesses and preventable diseases, malnutrition, and numerous families will continue to struggle to sustain their gardens and farms (which is the sole source of income for many families).

By working to combat the World Water Crisis, specifically in India, we can help build healthier, happier lives. Check out this blog about how clean-water wells are helping the Bhil tribes of India.
